Attorney Horace W. Horton Celebrates 40 Successful Years
In his 40 years of practice, Horace has inspired, coached, led, and created successes, in a once small, three-person family banking firm known as Drummond & Drummond.
Over 25 years as its managing partner, Horace has taken the firm from its old bank vault location with Royal manual typewriters to One Monument Way with modern state-of-the art technology. He has led the expansion of the firm to nine practice areas, 17 lawyers, and widespread name recognition as being one of Maine’s preeminent law firms.
“Energetic”; “sharp-minded”; quick-witted”; “well-dressed”, and “always the consummate gentleman”, are just some of his unmistakable qualities. Indeed, his continued positive outlook naturally encourages younger lawyers at the firm to always strive for better.
Proud of his Maine roots, Horace grew up on a dairy farm in Blue Hill, Maine. Today, he is dedicated to the state as President of the Pine Tree Council, Boy Scouts of America, to his community as moderator of the annual town meeting, Cumberland County YMCA, Maine Historical Society, to his church, and as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. As is evident, all of us at Drummond & Drummond, LLP are proud of Horace, too, and fortunate to have him as part of our rich history, success and future growth.
