Nathaniel R. Huckel-Bauer

Since 2006, Nate has practiced business and real estate law with Drummond & Drummond. His practice is focused on working with business and property owners to help them understand legal issues, plan ahead for positive outcomes and resolve disputes when they arise.

Experience

Nate is a native New Englander who received his undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College in 1999. Between graduating from Dartmouth and attending law school, Nate worked as a legal assistant at a large law firm in New York City and then volunteered as an AmeriCorps Volunteer at the Upper Valley Land Trust in Hanover, New Hampshire. Nate graduated from Vermont Law School, magna cum laude, in 2006 and was admitted to the Maine Bar that same year. While at VLS he was a member of the Vermont Law Review and was the recipient of numerous Academic Excellence Awards.

Nate’s practice is focused on assisting business clients with establishing new business entities, preparing contracts, buying and selling business assets, resolving disputes and protecting their trademarks and other intellectual property. He also helps individuals and businesses with real estate matters such as purchasing, leasing and developing residential and commercial property; resolving title disputes; negotiating easements; and representing parties at planning board and zoning board hearings.

About Nate

Nate is a native New Englander who was born in Rhode Island but moved to Maine before high school. After going to college in New Hampshire and law school in Vermont, he returned to Maine because it’s a great place to raise a family with wonderful cultural resources in the Portland region and great access to a wide variety of outdoor activities. Nate enjoys many of the outdoor activities Maine has to offer, especially biking, cross-country skiing, walking to work and kayaking. Spending most of his free time with his family, they are regular attendees of First Friday Art Walk, the various Portland farmers’ markets  and picking their own fruit at the many “pick-your-own” fruit farms and festivals around Cumberland County.
