Walter H. Morse
Walter, who also answers to “Jim”, practices in Drummond & Drummond’s Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate group. He helps clients with personal planning such as creating wills, powers of attorney and advance health care directives, with MaineCare asset protection planning, as well as with protective matters such as guardianship and conservatorship.
Experience
Jim began practicing law in 2006 as both an attorney and a guardian-ad-litem, representing parents and children involved with Maine’s child protective system in the District Courts, as well as all parties to guardianship and conservatorship proceedings in the Probate Courts. Since then he has also advised Maine residents aged 55 and older in a wide range of civil matters, and represented veterans and disabled people fighting denials of Veterans Administration and Social Security Administration disability claims.
About Walter
Jim is originally from Connecticut, served in the US Army, and spent several years playing in the mountains of Montana and brewing beer in Maine before finishing his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern Maine and his Juris Doctor at The University of Maine Law School. Jim lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife and daughter, and enjoys reading, hiking and archery, but mostly doing anything at all with his family.
