Drummond & Drummond recently sponsored a team to participate in the first annual “Strikes for Scholars” bowl-a-thon organized by the Maine Real Estate and Development Association (“MEREDA”). The event, featuring a visit from former Boston Celtics MVP Cedric Maxwell, raised funds for scholarships offered by the ACE Mentor Program (www.acementor.org) for students pursuing studies in architecture, construction or engineering. The team, led by D&D real estate attorneys Paul Peck, who currently serves as the Vice President of MEREDA, and Nate Huckel-Bauer, and rounded out with clients and friends of the firm, nearly secured the top finish in the highly competitive bowling attire competition. In spite of the professional shirts, the team’s score revealed their amateur bowling skills and left much room for improvement next year. The team is now recruiting high scorers for the 2014 event!
