Thomas E. Schoening III

Tom is a Maine attorney practicing Banking & Commercial Transactions and Title Insurance Defense. He handles real estate and business transactions, including business and property acquisitions and sales, commercial lending, commercial leasing, as well as title insurance defense.

Experience

Tom Schoening joined Drummond & Drummond having had two years of residential and commercial real estate experience. While in law school Tom was heavily involved in Employment law. As a certified student attorney and director of the Employment Discrimination Clinic, Tom successfully represented clients in mediations before the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission. Following Law School Tom worked for a Minnesota based firm with social security disability insurance claims. Tom moved to Maine and successfully sat for the Maine Bar in July 2014. Tom began his real estate and title career as an attorney with New England Title, LLC. In additional to title work, Tom practiced real estate law in partnership under Fleming & Schoening. Prior to joining Drummond & Drummond, LLP, Tom was an attorney with Two Lights Settlement Services, LLC. At Two Lights Tom conducted closings and title work in residential and commercial real estate transactions.

About Tom

Tom grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. A successful swimming career led Tom to attend Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. Tom married his college sweetheart Meghan and the two moved to Meghan’s home town of Kennebunk after completing graduate school in Minnesota. Tom enjoys all things outdoors and spends every weekend with family and friends skiing, golfing, hiking, sailing and camping.
