Cassidy J. Neal
Cassidy J. Neal is a Maine attorney whose practice is focused on the purchasing, leasing, and development of residential and commercial real estate, easements and boundary disputes, intellectual property, sports law, and contract negotiations. Cassidy graduated from University of New Hampshire School of Law where he earned Certificates in Sports Law and Intellectual Property Law through the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. During his time at UNH Law (Formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center), Attorney Neal gained practical experience with trademark litigation, trademark registration, and various other intellectual property law issues. Attorney Neal also spent a summer working with a Major League Baseball Player-Agent, assisting in contract negotiations, endorsement deals, and the drafting of new players.
Cassidy’s prior experience includes real estate transactions, civil litigation, creditor’s rights, foreclosures, land use and regulation, easements and boundary disputes, employment and labor law, intellectual property, sports law, and contract negotiations.
Cassidy was born in Vermont, raised in New Hampshire, and lived in Maine for a decade before returning to New Hampshire to complete law school. A New Englander through and through, Cassidy couldn’t wait to move back to Maine in 2018. During his undergraduate years at The University of Southern Maine, Cassidy played on the Men’s Soccer team and received the William B. Wise Scholar Athlete Award. Following his undergraduate studies, Cassidy was a corrections officer and attended the NHAC Correctional Academy and received the Honor Graduate award for his graduating class. While completing his Master’s Degree, Cassidy returned to Portland and was a social worker with a focus on helping at-risk youth. Cassidy and his wife, Anna, enjoy golfing, skiing, traveling, and relaxing with their friends and family.
Prior to moving back to Maine, Cassidy served as the Vice-Chair of the local Parks & Recreation Commission and as a board member of the local Conservation Commission. Cassidy is a volunteer coach for the Deering High School boys’ soccer team, where he previously coached in 2011 and 2012.
